Wednesday 2-16-11 Graphics Activity
Today, I want you to practice working with textures a bit. Textures are used frequently to add interesting detail to a photograph.
Get a picture from:
http://www.flickr.com/groups/unaltered_pictures/
Search google images for free textures, and save one that you like.
Open both the image from flickr and the texture image in photoshop.
Put the texture in a layer on top of the photograph.

Prompts for my Visual Design Class
For a week in my class, each day I posed questions on Edmodo. I didn’t give any direction in how the answers should be structured. The week went well, but it wasn’t very organized. I got a lot of very very short answers.
I’m going to add some structure to this, and call it prompts instead of just questions. Some of them will be writing prompts, some will be design prompts....

Book Recommendations
Last night @cwgabriel asked for book recommendations. I decided to compile the results through the magic of twitter for my own uses. I figured I should share the results with the internet at large. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
I started watching Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. There are 2 episodes out so far, and they are quite good. It’s been a while since I followed something on fansubs, and this is definitely worth watching.
